Overview

A Kedarnath–Badrinath (Do Dham) tour package is one of the most popular spiritual journeys in Uttarakhand, usually starting from Haridwar or Rishikesh. Most travelers choose a 5–6 day road package covering both shrines comfortably.

Tour Plan

Start early from Haridwar via Devprayag (where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet) and Rudraprayag. Check into your hotel in Guptkashi or Sitapur. Rest and acclimatize.

Drive to Sonprayag, take the local taxi to Gaurikund, then begin the trek.

The trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath is (16) km to (18) km and takes 6-8 hours. Alternatively, you can take a helicopter from the Phata or Sersi helipads near Guptkashi. Visit the main temple for the evening aarti and stay overnight at Kedarnath.

Trek or fly back down to base. After attending the morning aarti, make your way back to Gaurikund/Sonprayag and drive to Guptkashi or head to Chopta to stay overnight. [1, 2]

Drive via Joshimath to Badrinath. On arrival, check into your hotel and take a holy dip in the Tapt Kund before proceeding to the main Badrinath Temple for darshan.

Spend the morning exploring the spiritual sites around Badrinath, including Mana Village (the last Indian village), Vyas Gufa, and the Saraswati River origin. In the afternoon, descend to Rudraprayag for the night.

Enjoy the scenic drive back down to Haridwar, marking the end of the tour.
